Meat Lamps vs. Promolux
Old fashioned meat lamps are no longer legal in most states and provinces. Supermarkets want the red color of beef and pork and the “clean” color of chicken to be enhanced through visual light color.
The colors of processed meats such as Ham, Bacon, Sausage and sandwich meats can be correctly shown with the use of Promolux low UV merchandising lamps.
Supermarkets want their high priced seafoods and meats to look more attractive to the consumer. The right lighting makes all the difference in display cases for any perishable products.
PROMOLUX lamps have been used in the food industry for over a decade, helping supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries display perishables in favorable light and protecting items from drying, fading and bacterial degeneration.
During the last several years, retailers of heat and color sensitive products such as leather, flowers and cosmetics, have also started specifying PROMOLUX lamps.
Most recently, PROMOLUX lamps are being requested for a number of new and exciting applications, such as medical and dental procedures, museums, auto shops and other industry applications where true color or low radiation is critical.
